Initial Consultation
Our design professionals will meet with you, on site to accomplish three important tasks. First and foremost, we will introduce you to our design philosophy and how we go about preparing our design. Each situation is unique and the method we use to approach your design needs will be clearly outlined. Secondly, we will begin to asses your site. During this task, we will highlight grading and drainage issues, traffic flow, aesthetic values, screening possibilities, plant placement and landscape structure placement along with any other design topic that is relevant to your project. Our third task during to this consultation is to answer any questions you, our client may have, pertaining to your design project.

Site Analysis
On a separate occasion, after meeting with our client, we perform a Site Analysis. The object of this phase is to become adequately familiar with the site. This allows us to properly begin the preliminary design. Measurements are taken, elevations are recorded if necessary and all parameters of the site are noted.

Preliminary Concept Plan and Rendering
Our concept plans tend to be very developed as a result of our thorough site analysis. Included on the concept plan are landscape bed layout, walk and patio layout and landscape structure placement. All plantings are represented by graphics and descriptions, not by individual species. Along with this scaled plan are section drawings and often times thumbnail perspective sketches that depict certain spaces, elements or areas of the design. The concept plan is not complete without written descriptions of the design philosophy. It’s our belief that a solid concept, leads to a thought provoking design. Our concept plan description allows our design thoughts to be recorded in a written format. Each area of the design is described, in a manner that includes the design concept, implementation strategy and materials to be used.

Landscape Design
The final step to achieving good design is a culmination of the previous tasks. The final landscape plan includes detailed drawings of all plant locations, all plant names and hardscapes layout are finalized. This plan will allow homeowners as well as contractors, a detailed drawing of the landscape project. Two (2) copies will be given to the client.
